Congratulations to 14 members of the Class of 2027 who have earned recognition in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Competition! Prep senior Praytush Majumdar has been named a semifinalist in the competition, while another 13 seniors have been named 2027 National Merit Commended Students. In all, these categories represent the top 50,000 scores nationwide among the more than 1.6 million students who took the PSAT as high school juniors in 2025.
Prep inaugurated the start of the new academic year on September 18 as Jesuit schools around the world have done since 1548—by celebrating the Mass of the Holy Spirit, our first opportunity each year to gather as an entire community in prayer.
