Hundreds of Prep students representing 122 communities and 12 counties in New Jersey, all five boroughs of New York City, and even Long Island converged on Grand & Warren for the start of the 2026-2027 school year this month.
While September marked the return of the full school day, our campus had already been abuzz with activity all summer long with record-setting enrollment in summer enrichment courses and in the Higher Achievement Program, as well as sports camps and other programs.
Orientations began on September 10 for the Classes of 2027 and 2028 with the freshman Class of 2030 coming together for the very first time on September 11 as the newest members of our Prep family and a tradition of Jesuit education spanning 150+ years.
Our campus was electric with anticipation both days as students signed in and were welcomed by Prep President Dr. Michael Gomez, Ed.D., ’91 and Principal Mr. Christopher Caulfield, ’03, among other staff and faculty members like Assistant Principal Ms. Kimby Heil and Dean of Students Mr. John Morris.
Throughout both days, students took ID photos, reconnected with their classmates, played outdoor games, prepared for the year ahead, and met with faculty and staff. Upperclassman “Big Brothers” led freshmen on campus tours and helped them familiarize themselves with their daily schedules.
Classes officially began with A Day of Cycle 1 on September 14.
