All freshmen take World Civilizations, and students must take two years of United States History. High-achieving sophomores, juniors, and seniors may apply to take AP World History: Modern or AP US Government & Politics. Other history electives may be chosen to augment a student’s course of study, and a fourth year of history and/ or the social sciences is strongly recommended. All courses emphasize critcal, historical thinking skills, writing, research based projects, and presentation.
