Strength & Conditioning Facilities:

Strength & Conditioning is an integral part of the development of student-athletes at Saint Peter’s Prep.

Prep’s Strength & Conditioning team works in the two weight rooms on campus. The weight rooms are located in the first floor of the Perkins Athletic Center, and the basement of the Humanities Building. They cover all varsity sports that Prep has to offer.

The goal of a Strength & Conditioning coach is to design and implement the specific strength, speed, and conditioning programs for the athletic teams. Our Strength & Conditioning coaches will progress the student-athlete through their various phases of the sport training program as tolerated by the student-athlete. The health and well-being of the student-athletes is a top priority of the Strength & Conditioning team. Our Strength & Conditioning coaches can use the information from the athletic trainer and the injury information from rehabilitation to start the athlete at the appropriate level (e.g., sets, repetitions, number of exercises, total volume) of Strength & Conditioning. They are then in charge of volume progression from that point on, barring any injury.
