Class of 2029 admission decisions were mailed Thursday morning. Based on past experience, we expect most Class of ’29 applicants to receive their decisions by mail on Friday or Saturday. In case yours takes a bit longer, though, don’t fret… We will email decisions on Saturday, January 18 starting at 1pm. At that time, financial aid decisions will also be emailed.
The journey of a lifetime will begin right at the doorsteps of the Class of 2029, as acceptance packets arrive over the coming days and welcome these young men into the 153-year-old tradition of Jesuit education in downtown Jersey City. This brief video is a behind-the-scenes look at the packets’ journey from our home at 144 Grand Street to the homes of our soon-to-be Marauders!
Here’s a quick look at the Class of 2029 applicant pool by the numbers:
- Admissions decisions mailed Thursday morning to 554 students whose applications were complete as of Monday, January 13.
- The accepted students for the class of 2029 represent 86 municipalities in 11 New Jersey counties, plus 3 New York City boroughs, and even one student currently living in London!
- Jersey City and Hoboken are the communities accounting for the most accepted students, followed by New York and then Bayonne.
- In addition to English, members of the accepted Class of 2029 speak 22 languages.
- Some accepted students live just a few blocks away, while others live as far as Alpine, Hazlet, and Little Silver. (We assume our student in London will be living closer to Jersey City when school starts!)
- Accepted students currently attend 163 different schools.
