Annual Winter Concert Fills the Commons

Prep’s O’Keefe Commons was filled with the Christmas spirit and an audience of friends, family, faculty, staff, and fellow students at the Annual Winter Concert on Sunday, December 8.

This highly anticipated event, which features old and new holiday favorites each year, in addition to basket raffles supporting Prep’s music programs, shined a spotlight on the hard work of Prep’s Concert Band, Sodality Jazz Band, and Vox.

Following a welcome by Prep President Michael Gomez, Ed.D., ’91 and an invocation by the Rev. Robert O’Hare, S.J., the performance began to much applause as Prep’s musicians took the stage.

Prep’s Sodality Jazz band opened the show, and as a finale, Prep’s Concert Band, directed by Mr. Steve Caslowitz, and Vox, directed by Ms. Emily Fencik, joined together with the audience for “A Christmas Pop Sing-A-Long” as Santa and an elf made their rounds.

We thank everyone who helped make the day a success, and we commend all our students on their well-practiced work.
