Saint Peter’s Prep received the Student Impact Award at Covenant House New Jersey’s signature gala event “Night of Broadway Stars,” held at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark on May 29, in recognition of their record-breaking fundraising efforts at this year’s Student Sleep Out.
Earlier this month, hundreds of Prep Students combined their efforts to become the top fundraising team in the nation, collecting a tremendous $76,000+ (smashing last year’s record-setting $62,607) at the 2024 Student Sleep Out—an annual event during which members of our community sleep in our courtyard in solidarity with those individuals who experience homelessness each year.
Covenant House New Jersey is a nonprofit organization that “empowers young people to overcome homelessness and trafficking by providing them with safe housing, food and clothing, and relentless support.”
We congratulate Sleep Out committee members Aidan Maione, ’24, Peyton Monaghan, ’25, Evan Nguyen, ’25, Luke Bae, ’26, John McClelland, ’26, Patrick Naughton, ’26 and Sasha Tyazhelkov, ’26 for their tremendous work, along with Prep’s Office of Campus Ministry and Mr. Keith Cummings, ‘10.
