The Francis J. and Gail W. Mertz Scholarship was created to provide monetary support to academically talented students from select New Jersey high schools, including Saint Peter’s Prep, who plan to pursue undergraduate studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Providing students access to networking and unique study-abroad opportunities, in addition to your FDU education, the Mertz Scholarship also provides financial funding ranging up to $10,000, which can be combined with your FDU merit award.

- Submit an application to Fairleigh Dickinson University: fdu.edu/apply
- Submit Mertz Application by February 21: Apply Now
- Submit 2 Letters of Recommendation to myapp@fdu.edu.
- Letters of Recommendation submitted for your FDU application may also be considered.
- If Selected: Attend an Interview with our Mertz Committee
- Recommended – Submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): studentaid.gov
