More than 50 members of the Class of 2023 returned to campus on Thursday, June 1 for the second Battle of the Senior Homerooms, a final opportunity for some friendly competition and to celebrate the end of the year with their brothers as they look ahead to next week’s graduation.

Charlie Dino, ’22 started the initiative last year, and now, in its second iteration, it seems set to become an annual Prep tradition.

Eight color-coordinated teams of seven, eight, or nine members competed at the Fr. James F. Keenan, S.J. Athletic Field in games of dodgeball, kickball, tug-of-war, and longtime Prep pastime Androball.

The day then continued with relays, with this year’s seniors cheering one another on in sprints, egg-balancing walks, potato sack races, and wheelbarrow races.

That afternoon, the Battle of the Senior Homerooms concluded in the O’Keefe Commons with trivia, and ultimately, the green team emerged as the day’s victors.

We congratulate the winners, thank all participants, and look forward to graduation on June 6.
