Saint Peter’s Prep welcomes transfer students to join our school community. Students interested in transferring to Saint Peter’s Prep should contact the Director of Admissions, Mr. John Irvine, ’83, P ’11, at 201-547-6389 or IrvineJ@spprep.org.
Access to the transfer application is available by mail following the receipt of a student’s mid-year report card. The online application is meant only for current eighth graders who are seeking admission to Prep as freshmen.
Transfer students are considered for admission to based on their performance at their current schools, standardized test scores, courses completed prior to applying to Prep, interviews, and a completed application and essay. A student’s academic performance is given special consideration in assessing his transfer status. His disciplinary record and other non-academic criteria are also considered as Prep is committed to forming men of conscience, competence and compassion.
Mid-year transfers are rarely permitted. Extenuating circumstances such as a family move into the area would mitigate this policy.
A transfer into senior year would require extenuating circumstances.
Financial aid is available to all transfers, and is determined by the normal Prep financial aid process. For more information, please contact Mr. Fred Galano, our Director of Financial Aid at GalanoF@spprep.org.
