In the Fall 2018 Prep Magazine, we shared some of the stories we received in the run-up to Fr. Tony Azzarto, S.J.’s 80th birthday celebration. Unsurprisingly, the outpouring of appreciation for Fr. Azzarto’s many works and acts of kindness since he first arrived at Grand & Warren in 1963 was overwhelming, and we couldn’t share every story in the limited space of the magazine. Here, though, we’d like to continue the tribute by sharing more of the testimonials from you, the Prep community, in celebration of a true Man for Others.
Fr. Azzarto has always been very supportive and helpful to me and my family. When I was a student and an alumnus, he was always there in times of emotional struggle and times of great joy. Fr. Azzarto was often seen at our cross country meets, funerals and has always supported my passion for the arts and theatre. Most importantly, he was a friend and a teacher for all of his students. Happy Birthday Fr. Azzarto!
