Timothy Jimenez had 16 assists, five digs, and five service points as seventh-seeded Saint Peter’s Prep, No. 18 in the NJ.com Top 20, defeated third-seeded and No. 3 Scotch Plains-Fanwood, 2-0, in the semifinal round of the NJSIAA North 2 Tournament on Monday in Scotch Plains.

Aidan Apito had 12 digs, seven kills, and one block, while Joseph Parise had eight digs, five service points, and three kills for the Marauders, which outscored its opponent, 25-17, in the second set to secure the victory. Ryan Karbowniczak had eight service points, three kills, and two aces, while Andrew Fernandez added six digs, two service points, and one assist.

The Marauders will go on to face top-seeded and No. 14 Kearny in the final round on Wednesday. The match will begin at 4:30 P.M.
