Timothy Jimenez had 21 assists, five digs, and one kill as seventh-seeded Saint Peter’s Prep, No.18 in the NJ.com Top 20, defeated 10th-seeded Union City, 2-0, in the second round of the NJSIAA, North 2 Tournament on Wednesday at the Barn.

Aidan Apito had eight digs, six service points, and five kills, while Andrew Fernandez had seven digs, five service points, and two aces for the Marauders, which outscored its opponent, 25-13, in the second set. Connor O’Flanagan had eight service points, three digs, and two kills, while Joseph Parise added four service points, three digs, and three kills.

The Marauders will go on the road to face second-seeded and No.19 Payne Tech in the quarterfinal round in Newark on Friday.
