The Saint Peter’s Prep track and field team, No. 4 in the NJ Milesplit Top 20, showcased some dominating performances by winning its fourth straight Hudson County title by over 100 points on Saturday in Jersey City.

Joseph Morrone led the way for the Marauders by winning three events and taking second in another. Morrone won the 400 hurdles with a new school record and NJ #3 time of 54.93, the 400-meter dash (48.90), the 110 hurdles (14.94), and took second in the 200 (21.73). Edwin Klanke put on a show by winning the 1600-meter run in a new school record and NJ #3 time of 4:10.56. Klanke then came back to win the 800-meter run in an NJ #1 and new school record time of 1:51.74 and took second in the 3200 (9:50.22). Fitzroy Ledgister won the 100 (10.94), the 200 (21.56), and the long jump (22-1), while Rodolfo Sanchez won the 3200 (9:32.67), took second in the 1600 (4:14.25), and second in the 800 (1:54.90). Landers Green added a victory in the triple jump with a new school record jump of 43-7.50.

The Marauders will now go on to compete in the NJSIAA Non-Public A Sectionals and Group Championships on June 11th and 12th. The meet will be held at the Ajee Wilson Stadium in Neptune.
