The Saint Peter’s Prep track and field team showcased why it’s one of the best programs in the state by winning the 4×100 relay and placing second in the distance medley relay at the Midseason Relay Showdown in Basking Ridge on Monday.

The 4x100m relay team of CJ Wesley, Fitzroy Ledgister, Jamei Schenck, and Samuel Slade stopped the clock at 44.01 to get the victory. That time is NJ #10 and the top time for Hudson County this season. The distance medley relay team of Edwin Klanke (3:05.67), Joseph Morrone (48.36), Jack Sipperly (2:04.43), and Rodolfo Sanchez (4:18.83) finished second behind Ridge with an NJ #2 and US #7 time of 10:17.29. That time takes down the old school record of 10:28.76 set in 2013 and is a new Hudson County record. The track team now has four relays in the top 10 for New Jersey.

Next up for the Marauders will be the South Hudson Championship on Friday in Kearny. The meet will begin at 4:30 P.M.
