Ethan Blackwelder crossed the finish line first with a time of 15:27.67 as the Saint Peter’s Prep cross country team, No. 3 in the NJ.com Top 20, won its 10th consecutive Jersey City Championship, 15-71, over McNair Academic on Tuesday in Jersey City.

The Marauders, which took the top seven spots in the race, had a 1-5 split of 1:07 and averaged 16:16.87. Edwin Klanke and Rodolfo Sanchez, each doing a tempo run during the race, finished second and third with times of 16:26.86 and 16:26.93.

Jack Glynn finished fourth at 16:28.50 while Alex Schimmel finished fifth at 16:34.36. Jack Sipperly, sixth in 16:40.75, and Patrick McCabe, seventh in 16:44.01, rounded out the top seven.

Next, Prep will compete in the NJSIAA Non-Public A North State Sectional Championships on Sunday, Nov. 15, at Garret Mountain in Woodland Park. The meet will begin at 2:25 P.M.
