The Saint Peter’s Prep cross country team, No. 3 in the NJ.com Top 20, continued its undefeated streak at the Back to the Mountain Invitational on Saturday in Woodland Park. The Marauders, which had the fastest average of the day, defeated runner-up Ridgewood, 34-55, on the challenging Garret Mountain course.

Edwin Klanke, who remains undefeated this season, led the charge by winning the 3.1-mile race with a time of 16:01. Rodolfo Sanchez finished third with a time of 16:21 while Ethan Blackwelder finished seventh at 17:20. Jack Glynn, eighth in 17:27, and Jack Sipperly, 15th in 18:07, rounded out the top five.

Next, Prep will battle some of the Top 20 teams in the state on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in Holmdel. The meet will begin at 4:30 P.M.
