Prep’s Ebony Club, a fixture in student life since the 1970s, is taking the lead in celebrating Black History Month at Prep. This year the focus is on the community members of Saint Peter’s who are returning to share stories of their achievements and life experiences.

These guests include:

  • Mr. Rashad Malik Davis ’09 – Mr. Davis is a former member of Vox and Prep musicals. He is an accomplished author and award-winning illustrator of children’s books. He shared his experiences in realizing his dreams. (Monday, February 10, pictured above )
  • Mr. Will Thompson ’07 – Mr. Thompson is a former Captain of Prep’s football team and the male lead in Prep’s musicals for 4 years. Playing four years of football and graduating from Boston College, he will discuss his entry into the fashion world and creating his own brand, XXBC. (Tuesday, February 18)
  • Mr. Sean Ryan ’14 – Mr. Ryan is a former member of Prep’s basketball team. Sean will share via Skype his journey into politics as a member of two congressmen’s staffs in the House of Representatives. (Thursday, February 20)
  • Reverend Johnnie Brooker P’21 – Pastor Brooker will share with the community the importance of religion and the church in the black community. (Thursday, February 27 )


The Ebony Club will conclude its celebration with a dinner and a movie for its members on Wednesday, February 26, after school.
