The library hosted Prep trustee and Seton Hall Law Professor Ed Hartnett, ’78, P’08 Thursday, as he presented a series of talks on the presidential impeachment process in its historical and legal context.

Professor Hartnett is an expert in constitutional law and the federal courts, making him eminently qualified to lead a conversation about the history of impeachment, as well as the trial currently taking place in the Senate.

Both students and faculty felt it was important to discuss this historic moment openly and intelligently at Prep, and Prof. Hartnett graciously agreed to lend his expertise. Student Council members Suvan Bhat and Aidan Guarnuccio led two moderated discussions, followed by more informal Q&A sessions for the student body. Students attended both independently and with history, ethics and government classes.
