The Saint Peter’s Prep track & field shuttle hurdle relay put on a show when the squad was victorious at the NJSIAA Non-Public A State Relay Championships, held at the John Bennett Indoor Athletic Complex in Toms River on Monday.

In The shuttles, Luqman Gbadamassi led off in 7.75, Joey Morrone ran a blazing 7.47, David Mezzina ran 7.83 and Fitzroy Ledgister came home in 7.98 to finish first with a time of 31.16 seconds. That time is No. 8 in New Jersey, No. 9 in the nation and smashed the old school record of 31.64.

Other highlights include the Sprint Medley Relay (Morrone, Gbadamassi, Ledgister and Edwin Klanke) finishing in third place with an NJ#3 and US #9 time of 3:36.63 and the distance medley relay (Rodolfo Sanchez, Miles Hooper, Jack Sipperly and Klanke) finishing in third with an NJ#13 time of 10:49.97. The DMR already sits at NJ#11 with a time of 10:49.64.

Next up for the Marauders will be the Jersey City Championships held at the Jersey City Armory on Wednesday at 4:00 P.M.
