The St. Peter’s Prep track and field team won its fourth consecutive Hudson County Outdoor Track & Field title, while winning the freshman Hudson County title, on Saturday at Secaucus H.S in Secaucus.

SPP’s Richie Luzzi-Liggins

Senior Richie Luzzi-Liggins was a double winner, winning the 100 and 200, while senior Adonis McGee won the high jump (6’0) and took second in the long jump. Senior R.J. Oben Jr won the shot put (51-3.75) and took second in the discus (140-10) while senior Philip Decrese won the javelin (146-9) and added a third place finish in the discus. Sophomore Joey Morrone won the 400 hurdles (56.98) and took fifth in the 110 hurdles.

SPP’s Fitzroy Ledgister

On the freshman side, Fitzroy Ledgister led the way once again by winning three events (100/200/110 Hurdles) while Samuel Slade won the long jump with a new freshman meet record (19’2.75) and added two second place finishes in the 100 and 200. Lucas Jimenez won the discus and took fourth in the javelin.

Prep will go on to compete at the NJSIAA Non-Public A North Championships on Monday and Tuesday at Don Bosco Prep at 4:00 P.M.
