The St. Peter’s Prep tennis team continues its strong season by defeating Bayonne, 2-0, on Saturday at the Lincoln Park tennis courts in Jersey City.

In singles play, Christian Cunningham defeated Jeffery Sypytowski, 6-3, 12-10, while Tyler Greene defeated Humza Ahmed, 6-0, 6-1 for the Marauders, which received the fourth seed in the state tournament after the win.

In doubles play, Anthony Chrysikos and Anthony Mouridy teamed up to defeated Jousiph Yakoub and Marsleno Abdelmesih, 6-1, 6-0, while Harrison Sykes and Ethan Gaynor defeated Arsh Banerjee and Daniel Jedrzejczyk.

Prep now has a record of 11-4 and will go on to face fifth-seeded Pope John in the quarterfinal round of the Non-Public A tournament on Tuesday at the Lincoln Park tennis courts at 3:00 P.M.
