The 40-day journey of Lent at Grand & Warren began with an Ash Wednesday prayer service.
As Fr. Cassidy explained to the Prep community, Lent is a time that challenges us to remember who we truly are, and what we are called to be. “You and I need reminders of who we truly are,” he explained. “We need friends, we need family, we need the school community to remind us that we are called to be loving, ultimately. We’re called to be mature. We’re called to be reasonable. We’re called to be just. This is how God sees us.”
Reminded by the sign of ashes that our lives are finite, he explained, we are challenged in this season to live fully and as God hopes us to live.
