Adonis McGee scored victories in two events, while other Marauders came up with victories, to lead Prep to its eighth consecutive Jersey City Championship on Tuesday at the Jersey City Armory.

The Marauders outscored Snyder, 108-44.

McGee, a senior, won the 55-meter hurdles in a new personal record 8.05 seconds and cleared 6’7″ in the high jump to tie the NJ #1 mark this season. His mark is also US #14.

Seniors Richie Luzzi-Liggins and R.J Oben Jr. also captured their first Jersey City titles. Luzzi-Liggins won the 55-meter dash in a 6.58, .04 seconds off his school record, and Oben Jr. won the shot put in 48-5.5.

Several others stepped up to help the team continue its dominance in Jersey City.

Sophomore Joseph Morrone took second in the 55-meter hurdles (8.40), senior Thomas Narramore took second in the 1600 (4:40.58) and junior Christopher Anderson took second in the shot (40-1.5). Senior Liam Christman placed third in the 3200 (9:51.28) and fourth in the 1600 (4:44.11). Junior Ethan Macmillian threw 39-0.25 in the shot put to place third while senior Jared Veloso placed fourth in the 55-meter hurdles with a new PR of 8.51. Ayir Assante tied for second in the HJ with a 5’8″ jump and Gus Nations IV placed fourth in the 55-meter dash with a season best time of 6.90.

Prep will be back in action on Thursday in the NJSIAA Non-Public A Group Relay Championships at the Bennett Center in Toms River.
