Perhaps it began with a visit to an open house in the spring of 2018, or a Freshman for a Day visit this past fall. For some, undoubtedly, it began much earlier, with the stories a brother or father or uncle or grandfather told from their own days at Grand & Warren. But wherever and whenever it started, each member of the Class of 2023 has already begun his personal Prep journey. It will carry him through classes and games, retreats and club meetings, and onward to graduation and beyond – far beyond! – for the rest of his days. Thursday marked one early milestone in those journeys: the day admission decisions for the 896 applicants were mailed.
As the newest crop of prospective Prepsters await the letters, let’s take a closer look at another outstanding applicant pool:
The registration process for the Class of 2023 will take place online; instructions for enrollment can be found in the packet mailed to accepted students, along with details on an in-person registration opportunity for any students experiencing difficulty with the online registration system.
Important upcoming dates for accepted students:
Accepted Students’ Reception: Sunday, January 27, beginning at 1:00 PM
If you are still undecided about your high school choice and would like another opportunity to visit Prep and speak with members of our school community to see if Prep is the right place for you, please come to a special program for accepted students on Sunday, January 27, starting at 1:00 PM in O’Keefe Commons. This event is not a traditional Open House, but rather an opportunity for an in-depth look at specific aspects of the Prep experience.
Required Placement Tests: Saturday, March 9, from 8:30-11:30 AM
Placement exams for math and English will be administered on Saturday, March 9, from 8:30-11:30 AM. All incoming freshmen are required to take these tests as the results will allow us to place students in the proper college prep or honors courses next year. More information about the placement exams will be shared after enrollment.
