On Thursday morning, 239 young men’s paths converged at Grand & Warren, and they took their first official steps together as Prep’s sesquicentennial class of 2022. The journey they began will conclude in the midst of Prep’s 150th anniversary celebrations four years from now. They met their homerooms and big brothers, heard from Prep’s administration, learned about the Campus Ministry and Guidance programs, and worked through the logistics of Prep life, from their course schedules to their locks and lockers. Other highlights of the day included group photos for each homeroom, and a welcome for freshman parents sponsored by the Prep Parents’ Association.

Representing cities and towns – and grammar schools – scattered throughout the region, the freshmen will begin to build a new community in the days ahead, starting with the IgNite retreat and Mass of the Holy Spirit, followed by the start of classes on September 10.
