The 2010 Arrupe Lecture Series is underway. The weeklong series of events examining poverty in the United States kicked off Wednesday afternoon with an optional service experience, and continued Thursday morning with two separate assemblies (which included an opening prayer service), one for freshmen and sophomores, the other for juniors and seniors.
Students can request their courses online beginning this afternoon. All requests must be entered by March 30, 2010. Paper request forms are due in the main office by March 30, 2010.

Students and parents will be able to view and print third quarter grades beginning Friday, March 26, at 8:00 am by logging on to PowerSchool. Grades that appear in the Q3 column prior to Friday, March 26 are considered "in progress." By clicking on the grade that appears in the "Q3" column, parents and students can view assignments, projects, tests, and other work that contributed to the quarter grade and read any comments posted by the teacher.
With the last of four spring dates last Thursday, the 2010 Annual Fund Phonathon is complete. The four spring sessions combined with four held last November to ring up a total of $185,000 in pledges and donations to the Annual Fund.
Prep's annual Arrupe Lecture Series returns next Wednesday. This year, a week-long summit on poverty in the United States will feature speakers, discussions and service activities, with a keynote address by nationally-known speaker Fr. Greg Boyle, S.J. The program is set for March 24 – 31.
