Following last week's Mass of the Holy Spirit, the opening Honors Convocation for the 2010-2011 school year provided an opportunity to celebrate last year's achievements while looking ahead to this year's challenges and opportunities.
Nearly 400 guests – alumni, parents and current students, along with their families – filled the Warren Street Plaza and Prep Courtyard on Sunday afternoon for the annual Prep Family Mass and Picnic.
On Sunday, October 3, Prep will host its annual Fall Open House from 2 to 4 p.m. The Open House is an opportunity for prospective students and their families to explore the school’s Paulus Hook campus; meet teachers, administrators and coaches as well as current students and parents; learn about academic and co-curricular programs and receive important information about the application process, scholarships and financial aid.
For virtually as long as there have been Jesuit schools, Jesuit school communities have celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit as a way of asking God's blessing and inspiration as a new school year begins. On Friday morning, Prep renewed that long tradition.
