Seven upperclassmen represented Prep at the Italian Language and Culture Day Competition last week at Montclair State University, placing first among the ten participating schools! This was the 9th annual competition sponsored by the Italian Teachers´ Association of New Jersey, and Prep has participated since the event began in 2009.
Over the past two weeks, Prep hosted the inaugural Women's History Month Speaker Series, with author Eileen Markey discussing the life and death of Sister Maura Clarke, and women's basketball pioneer (and Prep parent) Carol Blazejowski, P'17 sharing lessons learned as a woman in the world of sports.
More than 700 Prep students and moms celebrated the annual Mother-Son Dance last weekend, at the Venetian in Garfield. Now in its 19th year, the "Mom Prom" has grown into the PPA's largest single event of the year! With just 85 days remaining before graduation, the Class of 2017 joined members of Prep's faculty and staff on Wednesday morning for the annual Senior-Faculty Breakfast. In keeping with tradition, it was a good time to share a meal, some memories and reflections, and a good laugh.
